ROCKWOOL insulation products are made from stone wool – a blend of naturally occurring volcanic diabase rock. In its manufactured state, stone wool combines the power of stone with the characteristics of typical insulation wool. And, thanks to its non-directional fibre orientation it exhibits some unique and valuable characteristics. ROCKWOOL insulation offers not only excellent thermal qualities, saving on heating and energy bills, but it also provides a barrier to fire, repels water, absorbs sound, prevents rot and mould, and is also quick and easy to cut and fit without leaving performance reducing gaps, or sagging and slumping over time.
