Joist Isolation Strip – 50mm x 5mm

Description

Joist Isolating Strip is used for preventing sound transfer by isolating partitioning or party walls from ceiling and floorboards and also from joists that the floor is attached to. It can be used in all forms of construction where there is any point of contact. The strip is manufactured from bonded recycled rubber. The acoustic isolating strip is especially designed to reduce impact sound transmission in separating floors and when wanting to decouple any to surfaces from each other.

Simply remove the self-adhesive backing and apply to any surface that needs to be isolated. We would advise to remove any dust or grim from surfaces before applying the isolation strip.

From our experience this product will produce around 3-5db of improvement in sound attenuation.
